Rian Johnson is Ready for your Nitpicky Star Wars Questions.

Film director Rian Johnson has been getting a crash course in the Star Wars fandom’s love of minutiae and he seems to be rolling with the punches quite handily.

Recently, Johnson was asked about the position of Kylo Ren‘s facial scar in The Last Jedi relative to the original wound at the end of The Force Awakens and a keen-eyed fan noticed that the scar seems to have moved slightly more to the right of Kylo’s nose.

Johnson explained that, yes, the scar had been relocated for a very specific reason.

You have to admit, that would look a little strange.  Some fans, however, wanted to make sure things stayed canonical.

So now it's gonna be less "goofy"
But it will never be kylo's scar anymore.
